Jordyn's Soul Cafe is a beloved Soul Food Restaurant located in Chicago, IL, serving up authentic Southern comfort food. Our Story

Jordyn’s Soul Café is a premier soul food restaurant in Chicago, Illinois. Owner Angel McDonald opened up this business in honor of her late daughter, Jordyn. Angel has been working in the restaurant industry for many years and has always had a passion for cooking. The recipes she serves at Jordyn's Soul Café are close to her heart and have been passed down by her mother. Angel is dedicated to providing her customers with delicious food that is made from scratch daily, using only the freshest ingredients. She takes pride in providing customers with quality service and ensuring that all dishes served are prepared with care and love. Angel created a space that is second to none in its ambiance, and our food is beautifully presented with artistic attention to detail. We are committed to providing you with the best possible experience while dining with us!

Our goal at Jordyn’s Soul Café is to provide great food that makes people happy and to serve our customers with dignity, respect, and compassion while working hard to provide them with an experience they will never forget. I'm a cheap person, so when I saw the menu prices, I started to leave since I have my kids with me( I'll spend on my wife, but the kids get dollar menu). We stayed, and glad we did. The food is soo delicious, and well seasoned. We ordered short rib with gravy, collard and yams, kids got lobster mac, and oxtail rice bowl. If we ever make it back to Chicago, this joint is a must. Don't cheat yourself, hit it at least once, you won't regret it. Trell was a great server and offered great selections for us first timers.

My first time here and OMG.. it very nice inside the service was GREAT and the food was AMAZING...We had the pot roast empanadas and smothered pork chops with rice and greens, my husband had the jerk lamb chops, mac and sweet potatoes...SO GOOD didn't need to add anything to it...I forgot the name of the drink I had but it was good as well...Definitely going back
